The care behind the practice

Experience with hair.
Curiosity about what lies beneath.

Sara Hallajian’s path began behind the salon chair and grew into a deeper study of hair and scalp health.

As a Certified Trichologist and educator, Sara brings that perspective to âme vitality: an appreciation for how hair looks and feels, paired with careful attention to the scalp and the factors that may influence it.

Education is central to her approach. You should understand what we observe, why we recommend a particular step, and how to care for your hair between visits. We want you to feel heard and involved in the decisions about your care.

Our holistic philosophy

Heal first,
then grow.

This is the principle that guides our care: begin by understanding the scalp and giving it thoughtful attention. Comfort, hydration, oiliness, and buildup can all shape where we start.

Hair health also has a wider context. Your health history, nutrition, stress, sleep, and daily habits belong in the conversation. Looking at these together helps us make recommendations that fit your needs and your life.

For us, holistic care means keeping that whole picture in view while staying clear about what our services can offer.

Science informs us.

We use scalp observations and analysis findings to guide recommendations, explain our reasoning, and revisit your plan as we learn more.

Nature has a place.

Thoughtfully selected products and gentle care can belong alongside technology. Each choice should have a clear purpose in your routine.

You guide the plan.

Your concerns, preferences, and day-to-day experience matter. A useful plan is one you understand and can realistically follow.

Our ethos, in practice

Clarity at the start.
Care that continues.

Hair concerns can feel deeply personal. We make room for your questions, explain what we see, and set realistic expectations together.

Listen and look closely.

We begin with an in-person consultation and Hair & Scalp Analysis. Your history and our observations help establish a starting point before we recommend care.

Make the next steps clear.

We explain the role of each recommendation, from in-clinic services to home care and everyday habits. When a concern calls for medical evaluation, we’ll recommend that you speak with an appropriate healthcare professional.

Stay attentive over time.

Follow-up gives us an opportunity to review your experience and changes in your hair or scalp, using observations and photographs where appropriate. Responses and timelines vary, and we adjust recommendations with that in mind.

A coordinated plan,
personalized for you.

Our treatment services are offered through personalized programs rather than individual treatment sessions. We bring together the services, home care, and follow-up that have a role in your plan, so each part supports a shared direction.

Inside âme vitality

Space to slow down.
Time to be heard.

Our Santa Monica space reflects the way we want care to feel: welcoming, considered, and personal. From your first conversation to time in the treatment room, we want you to feel comfortable asking questions and taking the next step.

Thoughtful care extends to our surroundings. Mindful product choices and responsible use of resources are part of the practice we’re building.

Our sustainability commitments

Begin with understanding

Your story is where we begin.

Bring your questions, your concerns, and your goals. An in-person Hair & Scalp Analysis is the first step toward understanding what your care could look like.
