What to Expect
A clear, thoughtful process from the beginning.
Hair and scalp concerns can feel confusing, especially when you have already tried products or treatments without understanding what is driving the changes you are seeing.
At âme vitality, the process begins with a detailed in-person evaluation. From there, we build a personalized plan based on your scalp, hair, health history, lifestyle, and goals.
Step 1: Your Hair & Scalp Diagnostic
Step 2: Understanding the Findings
Step 3: Your Personalized Plan
Step 1: Your Hair & Scalp Diagnostic
Your first appointment is designed to give us a fuller picture of what may be happening.
The diagnostic may include:
A detailed conversation about your concerns and history
Digital scalp imaging
Hair density and diameter measurements
Scalp hydration, oil, and pH assessment
Evaluation of buildup, flaking, redness, and sensitivity
Review of current products and routines
Polarized Light Microscopy when appropriate
Progress photographs for a baseline
Because the Tricotest is a multi-step diagnostic, this appointment must take place in the clinic.
How to prepare
You may be asked to avoid washing your hair for approximately 48 hours before the appointment.
Please also avoid applying dry shampoo, scalp oils, root concealer, or heavy styling products near the scalp unless instructed otherwise.
Step 2: Understanding the Findings
During the appointment, we review what we observe and explain how the findings may relate to your concerns.
This may include signs of:
Excess sebum or buildup
Dehydration or flaking
Scalp sensitivity
Hair-shaft weakness
Increased shedding
Hair miniaturization
Changes in density or diameter
We also discuss factors such as stress, nutrition, health history, hormonal changes, and daily haircare habits.
When a concern may require medical evaluation, we will recommend involving the appropriate healthcare professional.
Step 3: Your Personalized Plan
Recommendations are built around the individual.
Depending on your needs, your plan may include:
CRLab scalp treatments
Alma TED Hair Restoration
Red or blue light therapy
Scalp detox treatments
Professional homecare products
Cell Wellbeing nutritional insights
Progress assessments
Lifestyle and wellness recommendations
You will receive a clear explanation of what is recommended, how often treatments may be needed, and what role homecare plays.
Step 4: Preparing the Scalp
For many clients, scalp balance is the first priority.
Excess oil, buildup, dehydration, flaking, or sensitivity may need to be addressed before beginning a growth-focused treatment. Creating a healthier scalp environment can help later treatments and products perform more effectively.
This is where our guiding philosophy begins:
Heal first, then grow.
Step 5: Beginning Treatment
Your appointments are designed to feel comfortable, calm, and supportive.
Before each treatment, we explain what will happen and answer any questions. Some services may feel relaxing and spa-like, while others involve advanced technology designed to support the scalp and hair.
Most clients can return to their regular activities immediately after their appointment. Any specific preparation or aftercare instructions will be provided in advance.
Step 6: Homecare and Consistency
Your routine between appointments is an important part of the process.
We will explain:
Which products to use
How and when to apply them
How frequently to wash or treat the scalp
Which products may create buildup or irritation
What changes to watch for
When to contact us with questions
A focused routine is often more helpful than using many unrelated products.
Step 7: Tracking Progress
Hair and scalp changes happen gradually.
Progress may be monitored through:
Scalp images
Hair measurements
Progress photographs
Changes in oil, hydration, redness, or flaking
Reduced shedding
Improvements in hair strength, texture, or appearance
Follow-up assessments allow us to compare your progress with the original baseline and adjust the plan when needed.
What results can I expect?
Every person responds differently.
Scalp comfort, oil balance, buildup, and flaking may improve before visible changes in hair growth. Changes in shedding, density, and hair diameter usually require more time because of the natural hair-growth cycle.
We provide realistic guidance and review progress carefully rather than promising a specific result or timeline.
Your role in the process
The strongest plans are collaborative.
Your consistency with homecare, attendance, communication, and wellness recommendations can all influence the experience. We encourage you to ask questions, share concerns, and let us know when something changes.
You should always understand what you are doing and why it has been recommended.
Begin with clarity.
The first step is an in-person Hair & Scalp Diagnostic.
This gives us the information needed to understand your concerns and recommend a thoughtful path forward.
