FAQS
Getting Started
-
Most clients begin with a Hair & Scalp Diagnostic. This gives us a clearer picture of the scalp, hair density, hair-shaft quality, visible miniaturization, oil balance, hydration, buildup, and other factors that may influence the treatment plan.
The consultation also gives us time to discuss your health history, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, current routine, and goals.
-
Some services require a diagnostic appointment first so we can determine whether the treatment is appropriate and how it should fit into your overall plan.
This is especially important for clients experiencing active shedding, scalp discomfort, thinning, or changes they do not fully understand.
-
Yes. Many clients arrive without a clear explanation for what they are experiencing.
Our role is to gather information, identify visible patterns, and help you understand what may deserve further attention. When medical evaluation is appropriate, we will recommend involving the relevant healthcare professional.
-
Yes. We work with women and men experiencing a wide range of hair and scalp concerns.
Hair & Scalp Diagnostics
-
Your appointment may include a detailed consultation, digital scalp imaging, hair and scalp measurements, discussion of your health history, and an evaluation of your current products and routine.
The goal is to create a more complete view of what is happening before making recommendations.
-
The CRLab Tricotest is a digitally assisted hair and scalp analysis. It helps us evaluate factors such as scalp condition, oil balance, hydration, pH, hair density, hair diameter, visible thinning, and follicular changes.
It also helps us document a baseline so progress can be reviewed over time.
-
Item description
-
Polarized Light Microscopy allows us to examine the hair fiber in greater detail.
It can reveal structural characteristics that are difficult to see with the naked eye, including changes in the hair shaft, areas of weakness, and patterns that may help guide product or treatment recommendations.
-
You may be asked to avoid washing your hair for approximately 48 hours before the appointment so we can evaluate the scalp more accurately.
Please also avoid applying heavy oils, dry shampoo, root concealer, or styling products near the scalp unless instructed otherwise.
Treatment Plans
-
Recommendations are based on your scalp condition, hair characteristics, health history, goals, comfort, and homecare routine.
A plan may include scalp treatments, light-based therapies, Alma TED, CRLab protocols, nutritional insights, homecare products, or a combination of these.
-
No. The length, frequency, and combination of services depend on the individual.
Two clients with similar-looking thinning may need very different approaches based on their scalp condition, shedding pattern, history, and overall health.
-
Treatment plans commonly extend across several months because hair growth follows a slow biological cycle.
The exact timeline depends on the concern being addressed and the services included. Progress is reviewed throughout the plan so recommendations can be adjusted when needed.
-
Some scalp improvements, such as reduced oiliness, flaking, discomfort, or buildup, may be noticed sooner.
Changes involving shedding, density, hair diameter, or new growth usually require more time. Many clients begin looking for meaningful changes around the three-month mark, though every person responds differently.
-
Progress may be evaluated through scalp imaging, photographs, hair measurements, changes in shedding, improvements in scalp balance, and the client’s own observations.
We compare these findings over time rather than relying only on memory or day-to-day appearance.
Alma TED
-
Alma TED is a hair and scalp treatment that uses acoustic sound waves and air pressure to support the delivery of a topical hair-growth formula into the scalp.
It is designed to support the scalp environment and improve the appearance of thinning hair over time.
-
Alma TED is designed to be comfortable. Most clients describe the treatment as painless and relaxing.
There are no needles used during the treatment.
-
Most clients return to their normal activities immediately after the appointment.
We will provide specific aftercare guidance based on your treatment and scalp condition.
-
The number of treatments depends on your starting point, goals, scalp condition, and treatment plan.
Alma TED is often performed as a series rather than as a single isolated appointment.
-
A Hair & Scalp Diagnostic is required before beginning Alma TED at âme vitality. This helps us confirm that the scalp is prepared and that the treatment fits your needs.
Scalp Health and CRLab
-
The scalp is the environment where the hair follicle lives.
Excess sebum, dehydration, buildup, flaking, sensitivity, and inflammation can interfere with scalp comfort and may affect how well growth-supporting treatments and products perform.
For many clients, improving the scalp is an important first step.
-
Prepare: A preshampoo is applied to the dry scalp to exfoliate, rebalance, and prepare the skin.
Cleanse: A targeted shampoo cleans the scalp without unnecessary aggression.
Nourish: A lotion or concentrated vial is applied directly to the scalp and left in place.
These protocols are selected according to the client’s scalp condition and hair concerns.
-
A vial contains a more concentrated blend of active ingredients and is generally used during the stronger phase of a protocol.
A lotion is typically used for maintenance or ongoing support.
-
Many CRLab home protocols are performed approximately every three days, though Sara may modify the frequency based on your scalp and treatment plan.
-
Some products may be purchased directly through the shop.
For active scalp concerns or complete protocols, a consultation is strongly recommended. Using the wrong line may fail to address the concern and can make an already imbalanced scalp more difficult to manage.
Products and Homecare
-
Product recommendations should reflect your scalp condition, hair type, routine, sensitivities, and goals.
The most popular or strongest product is not always the most appropriate one. A diagnostic appointment can help remove much of the guesswork.
-
Sometimes.
We may recommend changing products if they appear to be contributing to buildup, dryness, irritation, excessive oiliness, or hair-fiber damage. In other cases, only a few adjustments may be needed.
-
Homecare is a major part of the process.
Professional treatments are most effective when supported by a consistent routine between appointments. We provide instructions so you understand what to use, how often to use it, and how each product fits into the plan.
-
We select products that combine botanical ingredients with targeted, science-informed active ingredients.
Some formulas include essential oils, plant extracts, peptides, vitamins, minerals, or professionally developed molecules chosen for specific scalp and hair concerns.
-
Possibly, but we may recommend limiting certain products if they create heavy buildup, irritate the scalp, or conflict with the protocol.
Bring a list or photographs of your current products to your appointment if you would like us to review them.
Wellness and Internal Factors
-
Yes. Protein intake, iron status, vitamins, minerals, digestion, and overall nutritional balance can all influence hair quality and the hair-growth cycle.
When appropriate, we may recommend further testing, nutritional support, or consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
-
Stress can influence the hair-growth cycle and may contribute to increased shedding in some people.
Because stress affects the body in many ways, we consider emotional well-being, sleep, and lifestyle as part of the larger picture.
-
Cell Wellbeing uses a hair sample to generate personalized nutritional and lifestyle recommendations related to hair, skin, and nail wellness.
It is used as an educational wellness tool and does not diagnose medical conditions.
-
No. âme vitality provides trichology, scalp care, wellness education, and cosmetic hair-restoration services.
We do not replace a physician, dermatologist, or other licensed medical provider. When we observe something that may need medical evaluation, we will recommend that you seek the appropriate care.
Comfort, Safety, and Expectations
-
Many of our services and protocols can be adapted for sensitivity, but the correct approach depends on the cause and condition of the scalp.
A diagnostic appointment helps us determine which products, ingredients, and treatment intensity may be most appropriate.
-
No treatment can guarantee complete restoration.
Results depend on many factors, including the cause and duration of hair loss, follicle health, age, health history, consistency, and the individual response to treatment.
Our goal is to give you clear information, realistic expectations, and a thoughtful plan.
-
We review the plan, compare current findings with your baseline, and look for factors that may need more attention.
This may involve changing the homecare routine, modifying treatment frequency, reviewing internal wellness factors, or recommending medical evaluation.
