Living cells collected from your hair follicles—including stem cells—are the starting point. ACORN cultures your cells and collects the substances they release, creating your own secretome.
This cell-free topical product contains a mixture of naturally secreted molecules, including growth factors, proteins, and extracellular vesicles such as exosomes.

A brief visit.
A trained practitioner plucks approximately 50 hairs with intact bulbs for ACORN’s collection process. Allow around 30 minutes; some tenderness can occur.
Personalized in the lab.
ACORN tests and preserves your cells. Suitable cells are then cultured to make your secretome. We confirm readiness before scheduling the treatment.
Return for Alma TED.
Your secretome is applied during your in-clinic session. Follow-up visits help us review your progress and adjust your wider scalp and home-care plan.
Collection and treatment are separate visits. Product preparation time, session length, and your treatment schedule are confirmed individually.

Are live stem cells applied to my scalp?
No. ACORN uses your collected cells to produce a secretome—a mixture of substances released by those cells. ACORN YOU is a cell-free topical product. Alma TED is the delivery step used during your scalp session.
Why pair ACORN YOU with Alma TED?
ACORN YOU provides your personalized topical product; Alma TED provides ultrasound-based delivery. We use the pairing within an individualized scalp care plan. Your consultation covers the evidence and limitations of this specific approach, along with what you can reasonably expect. Results vary.
Is cell banking only for my first treatment?
Banking is the foundation for creating your own ACORN YOU product and a longer-term decision about preserving your cells. You can ask about banking even if you are still considering treatment. Ongoing storage, later product orders, and future applications are subject to ACORN’s terms, additional costs, and cell suitability.
What could my banked cells be used for in the future?
Researchers are exploring additional applications for preserved cells. It is too early to promise which will become available, when they may be offered, or whether your cells will be suitable. Cell banking does not guarantee access to a future therapy or prevent future illness.
What does it feel like?
Hair collection involves plucking and may cause brief discomfort or tenderness. Alma TED uses a handpiece that passes over the scalp without needles. Sensations and tolerability vary. We review suitability, possible reactions, and aftercare before you begin.
When will I see a difference?
Hair changes take time, and responses vary. We establish a baseline and review changes over the months that follow. Your assessment helps set expectations for the appearance and condition of your hair; no specific result or timeline is guaranteed.
How much does it cost, and how long are cells stored?
We explain collection, storage, secretome production, and Alma TED treatment costs before you commit. Your chosen agreement determines the storage term, renewal arrangements, and what happens if you cancel. Banking does not automatically include future treatments.
